Eva Makk has been called “the greatest impressionist artist alive in the world.” She is celebrated for her sensitivity to mood and emotion, and for her eloquent sense of color. Eva Makk was born in Africa. Her and her husband Americo and their son A.B have all thrived artistically and their portraits and paintings are found all over in museums, palaces, seats of government home and private homes on three continents. They have worked together and painted frescoes and ceilings in sixteen cathedrals and churches on two continents. They have won over 100 medals, awards of merit all over the world. It is said that, Eva Makk doesn’t just paint children , she celebrates them. In her childhood in Africa and other studies in Europe and other time spent in South America and now the United States, she has experienced life’s challenges. She witnessed terror of revolt and wars and destruction, along with so much more. It is said that she carries with her an elegance of style that combines with an inherent spirituality to make her paintings power-packed deeds of genius. Dr. Ray Cook practiced medicine in Wichita, Kansas for more than 38 years. He was born in the South, developing an affinity for history and the Civil War. Over his life-time, Dr. Cook gathered a collection of presidential documents, books, and other works on paper related to his interest in history. This rare collection is now being offered at auction.
