Gary R Swanson Signed Deluxe Edition of “World of Wildlife Paintings”

Released in 1986, this book has three continents represented and reflected. All copies made were specially hand bound and have an original bronze plaque of a sheep that is on the cover. There are 255 pages in this book. The cover shows a gold indentation of Gary R. Swanson’s signature but on the inside it is signed with a note that says “This Deluxe Edition of Gary R. Swanson’s World of Wildlife Paintings is limited to a total of 1,245 copies, all signed and numbered by the artist. Of the total number, 650 are numbered 1-650; 500 are numbered 1-500 R.M (remarque); 70 are numbered 1-70 A.P. (Artist’s Proof); 25 are numbered 1-25 P.P. (Publisher’s Proof). All copies have been specially hand-bound and come with an original bronze mounted in the cover. Each volume is displayed in an exotic hardwood case.” This specific book is numbered LE 403.

Dr. Ray Cook

Dr. Ray Cook practiced medicine in Wichita, Kansas for more than 38 years. He was born in the South, developing an affinity for history and the Civil War. Over his life-time, Dr. Cook gathered a collection of presidential documents, books, and other works on paper related to his interest in history. This rare collection is now being offered at auction.
