Barry Sanders Autographed Helmet

Barry Sanders was the 3rd overall pick in the 1989 draft by the Detroit Lions. Within his ten seasons that he had with the Lions, he had an average of over 1,500 rushing yards per seasons with just under 100 rushing yards a game. In 1997, Barry was the third player to rush over 2,000 yards in a season and was named the NFL Most Valuable Player. He then retired in 1999, just 1,457 yards short of breaking the NFL all time rushing record back then. Number 20 was then retired from the Lions and Sanders was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004.

Over his life-time, Dr. Cook gathered a collection of presidential documents, books, and other works on paper related to his interest in history.
