A General Chart by Strahan and Cadell

This important original copperplate engraving if from Cook’s Last Voyage published in 1784 by Strahan and Cadell of London. It traces the tracks of the Endeavour, the Adventure, the Resolution and the Discovery during each of Captain Cook’s three voyages of exploration. As a record of Cook’s historic Pacific Discoveries, this is the most accurate and important world chart of the 18th century.

About the Collector
Dr. Ray Cook

Dr. Ray Cook practiced medicine in Wichita, Kansas for more than 38 years. He was born in the South, developing an affinity for history and the Civil War. Over his life-time, Dr. Cook gathered a collection of presidential documents, books, and other works on paper related to his interest in history. This rare collection is now being offered at auction.
